From the book of Daniel:
9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make [it] desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
From the book of Matthew:
23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, [thou] that killest the prophets, and
stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy
children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under [her] wings, and
ye would not!
23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
