Is Jesus for Real?

The fact that Jesus was born and actually did live is not what this page is all about.  What this page is attempting to answer is, "Was Jesus who He claimed He was?  Was He really God's Son?  Was He the Messiah?"

Here is an example of what you will find listed below.  (This is just 8 of the Old Testament prophecies that referred to Jesus, but there are actually over 300 such specific prophecies.)

  1. The time of His birth (see the Daniel 8 & 9 Timeline).

  2. He would be born in Bethlehem.

  3. He would be born of a virgin.

  4. He would be betrayed.

  5. He would be mocked.

  6. He would be pierced.

  7. He would be crucified.

  8. He would die with the wicked, but He would be buried with the rich.

It has been said that the chances of just these 8 prophecies coming true by sheer chance is 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000.  That would be equivalent to covering the whole state of Texas with quarters two feet deep and then asking a blind man to walk across the state and find a specific quarter.  (Texas is a very, very large area in the United States consisting of 268,601 sq mi (695,674 sq km).  A quarter in the USA is the about the size shown above and as thick as any typical coin.  )

Another group of mathematicians at Pasadena College in California placed the probability even higher at 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.  Either way it becomes obvious that Jesus was not just an imposter.  All of these prophecies (predictions or "history written in advance") came precisely true in Jesus.

The fact that Jesus had no control over where, when and how He was born, or where He was buried proves that He did not just work to make sure that all of the prophecies were fulfilled so that people would believe Him to be the Messiah.  Jesus was, and is, the Messiah.  He is real!

"Unbelief will ever find excuse for doubt, and will reason away the most positive proof."
