The Destruction of Jerusalem

The destruction of Jerusalem, in 70 AD, was foretold many times in the Bible, but one of the most prominent is found in Matthew.

Matthew

24:1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to show him the buildings of the temple.
24:2
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

None of the Bible was written after the destruction of Jerusalem.  The book The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan begins with Jesus weeping over the city of Jerusalem.  It tells the story of the destruction of Jerusalem and continues the story by telling what has happened to God's people after Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD. and concludes with God's people in the New Jerusalem.  This book should be read from front to back, rather than hit and miss, and therefore the whole book is linked here.  Some of this book is controversial because its focus is on the controversy between Christ and Satan.  If you are really wanting to know the truth, God has promised that you will find it, but sometimes it may not be what you wanted to hear.  If you find a chapter that bothers you, pray about what you have just read.  In fact, even before you read this book you should pray that God will lead you to the truth, and that He will not allow you to be lead to believe something that is not true.  Remember, trust your salvation to no man!
