(This timeline could be placed in the "Bible Prophecy Timelines" category because it contains information about the 1260 day/year prophecy and also information about the 2,300 day/year prophecy, but because it contains actual historical events related to what the Bible said would happen it has been placed in the "Bible History Timelines" category.)
The Devil wants to destroy God's laws, (His laws of love) but God has made a way to not only save humanity from sin, but to eradicate sin from the whole universe completely.
On the "Purpose" page (which explains the purpose of this site) the following statement is made:
"The only purpose of this site is to help people to come to know the Lord better and to love and trust Him more. Please understand that this web site is not meant to be controversial. If you study your Bible more, love and trust the Lord more, then this site will have served its purpose, even if you discover that a portion of a timeline is not correct. The more we learn of Christ through His Word, the more we will feel our need of Him in our own lives."
Even though this site is not meant to be controversial the topic covered by this timeline is controversial because it shows the controversy that is going on between Jesus and Satan. The statements made here are not meant to make anyone feel that God does not love them, but to show how much God hates what sin does to all people. God loves every human, regardless of their denominational upbringing, or lack thereof.
Our prayer is that you will come to love the Lord even more as you see how much He loves us and that you will love Him even more when you see how much He hates sin and how well He takes care of His people and His Word.

"The history of the early church testified to the fulfillment of the Savior's words. The powers of earth and hell arrayed themselves against Christ in the person of His followers. Paganism foresaw that should the gospel triumph, her temples and altars would be swept away; therefore she summoned her forces to destroy Christianity. The fires of persecution were kindled. Christians were stripped of their possessions and driven from their homes. They "endured a great fight of afflictions." Hebrews 10:32. They "had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment." Hebrews 11:36. Great numbers sealed their testimony with their blood. Noble and slave, rich and poor, learned and ignorant, were alike slain without mercy." The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan, pg 39 |
