Major Earthquakes

Matthew:

24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

Many people believe that the increase in frequency of major earthquakes is one of the signs telling us how near the Second Coming of Jesus is.  Others remind us that there have always been earthquakes, but the timeline above shows us that there has been a real increase just in the last 200 years.  When you study this timeline and compare it with the Knowledge Timeline you begin to realize that something is going on.

And there really is something going on.  All of these signs show how near Jesus Second Coming is.  Many times though we get all worried and we forget that we can always trust Jesus to do the best thing for us and at the right time.  Keep it foremost in your mind; Jesus really does love you and because of this you know that you can trust Him completely.  Even if you do not understand why things are happening you can still trust Jesus.  (If you haven't done so already, be sure to visit the Jesus Second Coming Timeline.)

Some people will say that humans are now able to detect earthquakes better than they could 1800 years ago, but it is interesting to note that "The earliest seismoscope was invented in 132 A.D., by Chang Hêng."  Our new seismographs are better at giving us more detailed information about a specific earthquake than they were before, but actual earthquake detection evidently was not a problem with the older machines.
